Last Training Ride
I did my last training ride today, 63 miles from Steve’s place up to bogus and back. I’m very happy because my ride time from the bottom of bogus basin rode up to the top was down to 1 hour 45 minutes (Steve beat me by 5 minutes). The first time I did that ride this year I was at about 2 hours 20 minutes for the climb.
Coming down we experienced a bit of a miracle. Steve’s rear tire failed and it went flat while he was cornering at 30+ mph. He rode it out and all was well (except for the tire). This could have ended very badly for Steve, and in all reality it should have ended badly. We were flying down the hill at points nearing 40 mph.
