Tempo Ride

Tonight I did one of my standard training rides and tried to ride it like a temp ride (near on unsutsainable pace).  I set a new personal best and I feel just great.  It is amazing, there is nothing like getting on your drops and just hauling mile after mile.  I did 33 miles in 1:44.  Now that isn’t anything close to a compeition pace but it was really good for me.  This season so far has felt a little weird over the past couple of weeks I have just felt myself getting stronger.  It is pretty noticable from ride to ride (and I’m slowly getting rid of a cold).  It feels like the kids in Narnia talk about when they go back in the later books and their strength slowly returns.  This is gonna be a great season.

So Sunday, I was out mountain biking and my cough drop ran out on a climb and I started coughing pretty good (hacking up a lung) but I  kept my pace going and didn’t let Ed get any ground on my :).

Tonight I am feeling really happy… nothing like some miles to make life feel great!
