Good Weekend

This weekend I was on tech for Sat. night at church which left Sat. morning open for riding. It was a beautiful day, so there was only one place to ride. Bogus! I headed out and rode on up the mountain… My time from the stop sign to the main parking lot was 1 hour 44 minutes, not terribly good, not as good as last years time, but I wasn’t killing myself either. Just keeping a good solid effort. I can only go for the killing myself pace so often since it leaves my throat a little sore for a few days and that isn’t overly appealing. I did however head all the way up to pioneer lodge. Better view and a bonus climb of ~600 feet. The total altitude difference from top to bottom was 4,130. So that makes the total ascent probably closer to 4,800 feet (excellent exercise).

Here is a picture of the goal from my bacyard:

And per Keith’s request I took my gps with me… However, the gps tends to loose satallite coverage in the canyons. The track was good until I got on bogus basin road and then it jumped to somwhere 200 miles away… baw. I like the little gps but you can’t just throw it over your shoulder and get a good track.

But I drew a gpx file of where all I road (included the mountain ride on Sunday). So keith can load it up and enjoy it.
Up to Bogus and Around

Anyway it was a fun weekend.
